Exciting things are happening inside our historic walls! On Sunday, July 5th at 3:00 PM, Crafted & Cured is transforming the old bank vault room into a live podcast studio. 🎙️🏛️

We are thrilled to play host to the music podcast, Behind the Sound, for a special remote interview session: "Live from the Vault."

Host Brian Johnson will be sitting down for an exclusive, deep-dive interview with Greenville’s own Americana soul powerhouse, Shannon Clark (of Shannon Clark & the Sugar)!

What to expect:

Pull up a seat, order one of our signature crafted cocktails, grab a pour from one of our 60+ beers, or order one of your favorite charcuterie boards while you watch a live podcast production unfold right in front of you. This is a rare, intimate look at the stories, songwriting, and creative journeys behind the music that has toured nationally and captured hearts across the Midwest.

Inspired by the secretive spirit of Prohibition-era speakeasies, Forbidden Fiction transforms a night out into a literary adventure filled with forbidden stories, curated cocktails, and unexpected discoveries. 

 Browse a hand-selected collection of challenged and banned books—but the catch? You won’t know which titles are off-limits until you explore the displays. Along the way, uncover why these books were challenged and how they continue to shape conversations today. 

 Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy themed cocktail pairings inspired by the mysterious titles, uncover hidden clues woven throughout the displays, and unlock a special password known only to observant readers. 

 Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase these “literary contraband” titles from Velvet Bookmark and take home a piece of the rebellion. 

 Whether you're a lifelong reader, a curious cocktail enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique night out, Forbidden Fiction offers a welcoming, immersive experience where stories, conversation, and craft cocktails come together. 

 No assigned reading. No book report. Just great books, great drinks, and a little literary rebellion.
